Keep "Me" Happy and Healthy!

  • Drink water and stay hydrated to prevent urethritis.
  • Have enough rest.
  • Keep a balanced diet.
  • Have regular check-ups.
  • Pay attention to personal hygiene.
  • Do not engage in excessive vaginal douching. It can reduce healthy bacteria that protects the vagina from infection.
  • Keep the vaginal and surrounding area clean. You should wipe from front to back after bowel movement and from back to front after urination.
  • It is best to choose underwear made with cotton. Wear loose fitted clothing instead of tight-fitting ones.
  • When you discover any abnormalities in your genital areas (e.g., vaginal discharge, pain, etc.), seek immediate medical consultation.
  • Do not take anti-inflammatory or antibiotics without medical consultation as it can lead to drug resistance.
  • Practise safe sex and minimise the number of sexual partners.
  • Use condoms every time you have sex unless you are trying to get pregnant.
  • Perform a health-check prior to planning pregnancy.
  • Patients with chronic illness should pay extra attention, such as controlling the blood glucose level.
